Gentle, effective pain relief
for back, neck and shoulders

What Happens on the First Visit?

The first visit normally lasts around 90 minutes.  You will be asked to complete paperwork with details of your medical history  and I will then discuss your present condition in depth.  Next I will conduct an examination to assess the mobility of your spine and the area of pain and use relevant orthopaedic tests to establish the cause of the problem.  I will then discuss my findings and proposed treatment plan with you and, all being well, will go ahead with treatment.  You may also be given exercises and/or postural advice if appropriate.

Information on your medical history helps to build a picture of your health and possible influences on your current problem.  This also ensures that there are no contraindications to treatment.  If you are taking any medication please bring the details to the consultation.

Patient comfort and dignity is always paramount.

What Do I Wear?

Patients are usually treated in their underwear but modesty gowns are available.

If you prefer to wear light clothing such as shorts or thin jogging pants this is fine.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

This will depend on the condition and the response of each patient but as a guide, expect between 2 and 6 treatments. A plan of treatment will be discussed with you and your progress will be assessed on each visit.

What if I Have Mobility Problems?

Treatment is mostly carried out with the patient lying down but we have lots of ways to accommodate those who are less mobile for whatever reason.

Both of the clinics are on the ground floor.
