About Sue

A little bit about Sue

Prior to qualifying as a Chiropractor I trained and qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1987, working within the NHS, Social Services and the Private Occupational Therapy Sector. My background as an Occupational Therapist has meant that I have always adopted a holistic approach and interest in health and wellbeing with a determination to empower people to maintain the best health and function that they are able to.

Alongside Occupational Therapy I studied and qualified in Massage, Aromatherapy and Reflexology before completing my Chiropractic Degree at the McTimoney College of Chiropractic in 2007. Since then I have trained in further soft tissue techniques, in particular hot stones massage, and Emmett Therapy all of which complement McTimoney Chiropractic.

I have also trained in Metamorphic Technique, a unique approach that involves gentle touch to the feet, hands and head that can help to facilitate inner transformation to over come some of our unhelpful life patterns without the need to discuss the issues or problems.

I regularly take further courses to supplement my knowledge and add to my treatment tools that will benefit my clients.

In my spare time I enjoy yoga and walking and try to engage in these activities daily as well as mindfulness to counter the stresses of everyday life.

Travel abroad is another love for me. I especially like to travel to places offering different cultural experiences as I enjoy experiencing an alternative outlook on life, if only for a short while.

I am registered with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC no 02792).

I am a Practitioner and a member of The McTimoney Chiropractic Association.
